As time went by…
Time left its mark on the ‘Fojtství’ (the seat of the local mayor, or ‘fojt’) in Mosty. In 1960 the Szotkowski family moved out of the wooden building.
Four years later it was damaged by a falling tree in a freak accident, and part of the building had to be demolished. It soon fell into disrepair, as the wooden structure was destroyed by exposure to the elements, dry rot and insects. The last silent witness to the old Gorol culture was disappearing before our very eyes.
