History at the Great Šance – Educational Program for Schools
Throughout the school year, the Great Šance Fortification Visitor Centre offers guided educational tours designed for pupils as part of their history and civics curriculum.
During the visit, students explore the interactive exhibition of the visitor centre, where they learn what the Great Šance was, how the entire Jablunkov Fortification System functioned on the historic Silesian-Hungarian border, why it was built, and who the local defenders were.
The tour features animated projections and visual displays that bring history to life in an engaging way.
When weather conditions allow, the program continues outdoors with a guided walk through the Great Šance fortress, showing the preserved outlines of the original military structures. The offer is intended for small groups or entire classes from local and regional schools.
