Cross-country skiing in highways and byways
Cross country tracks are not mechanically treated in Mosty u Jablunkova- touristic Cottage Skalka- Severka and Velký Polom. In case of favorable snow conditions, you can use many of cross country tracks which have been already skied by another skiers. For acces to the ridge or return back from ridge you can use traverse routes.

SkiAlpinismus,as a whole word says was "invented" in the Alps among people, who needed to move themselves from the one cottage to another. It didn´t matter if the country was plain or not. Country ski trail International health track
Such a big new of winter season 2013-2014 cross country skiing for lovers is mechanically treated cross ski trail " International health track", which comes from Skalité (SK) to the Trojmezí across the Svrčinovec to the Tři kopce and then back to Skalité. The route is 45 km long. The lowest point of the track is in Svrčinovec (456 metres above the sea level) and the highest one on the top of Liesková nad Skalitým (836 metres above the sea level). If you are interested in this track, you can start your trip from many places such as Půlgrun in Markov or Svrčinovec.

The Beskydy have plenty of snow cover from the autumn to the late spring, so they are not classic cross-country terrain – and it is only recently that well-maintained cross-country trails have been created in the mountains.
